Comic Day (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Comic Day iOS app.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID user identifier. If you choose to share your email address or name, we store that information to personalize your experience. Apple's “Hide My Email” feature is fully supported.
Content You Create
We store the text prompts you enter and the comic images generated from them. This content is associated with your account so you can access your comics across sessions.
Character Data
If you create a custom character, the character description you provide is stored with your account to personalize your generated comics.
Purchase Information
In-app purchases are processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We receive transaction identifiers and credit amounts but do not have access to your payment details (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.).
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Convex — Backend database and file storage for your account data and generated comics.
- Replicate — AI image generation service that processes your text prompts to create comic panels. Prompts are sent to Replicate's API for processing.
- RevenueCat — In-app purchase management and subscription processing.
- Apple Sign In — Authentication provider for secure, privacy-focused account access.
How We Use Your Information
- To generate comic strips from your text prompts
- To maintain your comic history and account
- To process in-app purchases and manage your credit balance
- To personalize comics with your custom character
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on Convex's cloud infrastructure. Generated comic images are stored in Convex file storage. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and secure authentication via Apple Sign In with JWT verification.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your comics and account data are retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual comics from within the app. To request complete account deletion and removal of all associated data, please contact us at the email address below.
Children's Privacy
Comic Day is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
